BIO

Gordon Phillips received both an Honors Degree and Masters Degree from York University in Toronto, where he studied Electronic music and ethnomusicology, majoring in electronic music composition, Non-Western and British Folk Music.

Specializing in Composition and music for modern Dance, he was a Lecturer and Professor of Music in the Dept. of Dance for a number of years.  As a professional musician and composer, he has worked with several well known Modern Dance companies and Alternative music bands.

Phillips assembled and operated his own recording Studio In Toronto, where he recorded and produced music for Theatre and Modern Dance.

Currently he resides on Campobello Island, Bay of Fundy, New Brunswick,  where he has recorded and produced two traditional music CD's. He performs Jazz, Blues and Traditional Folk Music with local bands.
